Well, well, well...
It's been an eventful week or 10 days. Made a "B" in my Advanced Income Taxation class, the budget is almost done at the day job and I finally ventured back out for a nice run this weekend -- after taking about six weeks off (ok, it was a little longer than that) with plantar fasciitis symptoms.
But you aren't here to read about any of that, are you?
Okay, okay on to the updates:
1.) The next installment in the "Shirasawa" series is written (mostly), but not edited. In this episode, our favorite tree spirit makes her way up to a port town on the northern coast of Japan, where she meets an unsavory merchant. The title for this one is "Shirasawa's Rage". How's that for foreshadowing?
2.) Started a couple of things for the "New Mexico" series. One involves a run-in the auditor has with a client's son, a former Marine who is having some trouble re-adjusting to civilian life. The other introduces the old guy to a new flame, a saucy Latina who teaches the accountant a thing or two about hope.
3.) And finally, this morning I sent a select few of you the opening scene from the "Ghost Train" short story/novella/thing. They say progress comes in fits and starts; hopefully, you like where I'm going with this one!
